Problem 1mo ago
I have ADHD. All my life I struggled with it. There is no one to support me or even believe I am struggling. People keep telling me I should just try harder or practice more or do things just like how other peoples do, i.e be patient and just do it. If the whole society doesn't want to help, it's okay. I'll try some way to manage everything by myself. My problem is, I can't even self-care due to the unavailability of ADHD medication. Even if the ADHD medication was legalized recently, the Aasandha system isn't updated yet. Even if I applied to Vira portal, it has been 2 months and I haven't got the meds still. I keep calling the state pharma, they keep telling me that it's almost here. And at other times they tell me that the shipping would start soon, and then they would tell me it would take a few more weeks as they need to ship it to Maldives and pass them through customs. People always preach about human rights. But I feel like I am an exception that doesn't deserve any rights just because I have ADHD. I struggle with education system of the Maldives, as it relies on mandatory closed book memorization exams. It has been 10 years that I started doing degrees, and I haven't completed any of the degrees so far. I did complete a higher diploma along the way from abroad just at the beginning of the covid lockdowns. But that's it. I tried doing the final year in here. But I can't pass through memorization exams. People give a lot of strategies / advise that doesn't work for me. They don't even care if it works for me or not. Anyways ADHD is just a part of my issues. I also have Autism Spectrum Disorder. It's makes everything regarding socialization or even seeking help. At least if I didn't have Autism, it would be much easier seeking help or integrating with the society. But noo. I just had to have Autism. And that too the type with most of social difficulties. To make things worse: Do people even believe I have social difficulties? No. It's me against the world.

Sorry to hear that you face such hardship, it is deeply concerning how the issue of medicine has still not been resolved, and you have come this far by yourself, stay strong, and you have a right just like anyone else, stay positive. Its going to be hard I know, but perhaps you might come across something or some way to actually tackle this issue, maybe someone will see this and have ideas on how to manage it or how it can be tamed
